An invitation to discover HORS-SAISON

Following on from its first presentation in the heart of the Palais Royal, HOUSE OF BARCIA celebrates the life of objects hidden from view at Paris Design Week.

A stone's throw from the garden, HORS-SAISON reveals itself in the suspended time of a sleeping flat. The timeless poetry of the objects, all shapes and colours, breathes its soul into the space and brings it to life. The wooden floor creaks gently underfoot. The mouldings crown the past seasons. A few playful gestures mark the discreet return of the human presence, while the light comes in to illuminate the moving encounter with the spirit of the objects. They emerge from beneath the white veils that kept them intact and secret. Their mysterious history invites dreamy contemplation. Time is on their side in the hollow of the calendar;
HORS-SAISON, the objects project their thousand other lives into the future, escaping the rules of the ephemeral, to the delight of those who give them a real place inside.
