ARTIST
Guasti Marcello (1924-2019) exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1948 and 1956 and participated in the Rome Quadriennale from 1951 to 1973. In the seventies, his sculptural production stabilized in geometric research, characterized by the recurrence of circular and spherical structures, while from the following decade a certain aspiration to monumentality took shape, rendered through square forms, developed both vertically and horizontally and contrasted with the use of natural elements such as stones and rocks.
