ARTIST
Jean Austruy (1910-2012) was a renowned French ceramicist, initially a drawing and modeling teacher in Grenoble. After the Second World War, he devoted himself to utilitarian ceramics, producing tableware and lighting in his studio in Saint-Marcellin. His work, recognized for its quality and innovation, was exhibited at the Salon des Ateliers d'Art in Paris. He retired in 1990 to devote himself to animal sculpture in ceramic and bronze.
