Made of bent beech wood , they feature horizontal struts in the backs, reflecting the geometric and refined style characteristic of Hoffmann and the Vienna Secession aesthetic. Iconic pieces of early 20th century design.

ARTIST
Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) was an Austrian architect and designer. He was one of the founding members, along with Gustav Klimt, of a revolutionary association of artists and architects: the Vienna Secession. Josef Hoffmann designed a number of important works of art in the 1920s and is considered one of the pioneers of the discipline of object design.
