Josef Hoffmann Cup
A silver cup designed by Josef Hoffmann for the Wiener Werkstätte, Vienna, circa 1910. Hand chased and hallmarked on the upper side, it is manufactured by the Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna Workshop). A representative example of design from this period.

Good condition. However, it has some signs of wear consistent with the age of the item.
ARTIST
Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) was an Austrian architect and designer. He was one of the founding members, along with Gustav Klimt, of a revolutionary association of artists and architects: the Vienna Secession. Josef Hoffmann designed a number of important works of art in the 1920s and is considered one of the pioneers of the discipline of object design.
