Chrome-plated metal lamp, circa 1970
This chrome-plated metal table lamp takes up the sculptural codes of 1970s design, between assertive geometry and luminous minimalism.
Its balanced silhouette (mirrored sphere on a cylindrical base) evokes the creations of many French designers of these years renowned for their modernist lighting with an architectural presence.
The lamp is topped with a lampshade custom-made by an upholsterer, dressed in a white bouclé fabric published by Lelièvre, which softens the shine of the chrome while adding a subtle and contemporary textile touch.
General condition
Very good vintage condition. Well-preserved chrome metal, slight patina of age.
New lampshade, supplied.
Style and placement advice
Place it on an entryway console table, desk, or nightstand to structure the space with a single touch. Its clean lines and metallic sheen complement matte materials like wood, stone, or velvet.
