Mikael Laursen
A. Mikael Laursen (active mainly 1930s–1960s) was a Danish master cabinetmaker and furniture maker. Based in Silkeborg, Denmark, his workshop produced iconic pieces for renowned designers such as Hans J. Wegner and Illum Wikkelsø. He was known for his expertise in working with solid wood, particularly oak and teak, and for the exceptional craftsmanship of his designs. His collaborations helped define the classic Scandinavian style, characterized by its minimalist aesthetic and functional approach.
