André Rozay glazed stoneware vase, 1946

Dated 1946, it is signed on the reverse and bears the words “PIECE UNIQUE” engraved on the base, emphasizing its exclusive character. The raised foliage decoration, rhythmic and expressive, evokes an organic aesthetic close to Art Brut, where the potter's hand deliberately leaves its mark.

Style and placement advice
Display as a centerpiece on a low plinth or a console table made of unfinished wood. This vase stands on its own, but can also accommodate sculptural branches or dried flowers to accentuate its earthy feel. It fits perfectly into a wabi-sabi or brutalist interior.
